Early Years at Harbour View
Our two Reception classes are led by Mrs Sharma and Miss Taylor. Many of our children enter Reception below age-related expectations, particularly in communication and language. Our 'Harbour View Explorers' curriculum is designed to close these gaps rapidly through language-rich, play-based learning.
Every day, children experience story time, talk for writing, number talks and carefully planned continuous provision. Our outdoor area includes a mud kitchen, construction zone, water play and a reading den. Systematic phonics (Little Wandle) begins from day one, and we work closely with families to support learning at home.
