Welcome to Harbour View Primary Academy. We are a vibrant, ambitious school in the heart of Walker, serving a diverse community on the banks of the Tyne. As part of the Northern Gateway Academies Trust, we benefit from strong partnerships and shared expertise while maintaining our own unique identity.

I joined Harbour View two years ago with a clear mission: to ensure that every child here receives an education that is every bit as good as anywhere in the country. Our Ofsted report identified areas for improvement, and we have embraced that challenge. Standards are rising, behaviour is excellent, and there is a real buzz of ambition across the school.

We are proud of our specialism in computing and digital skills. Every classroom has interactive display technology, we have a dedicated STEM lab, and our coding club has won regional competitions. But technology is just one part of our rich, broad curriculum. Music, sport, art and trips bring learning to life every day.
